Sunshine & Surprises – Sam & Tim’s Wedding at The KP Club, Pocklington

Sunshine, laughs, and one very cool surprise — Sam & Tim’s wedding at The KP Club in Pocklington was a total joy to photograph. From relaxed morning moments at the lodge to an emotional ceremony and a first dance that turned into a breakdancing spectacle, it was one of those unforgettable Yorkshire weddings that had everyone smiling.

I didn’t direct much — just let things happen naturally. No forced smiles, no awkward setups. Just honest moments, warm light, and the real feel of the day. That’s what I’m all about. I’m based in Leeds but travel all over Yorkshire, and days like this? They remind me exactly why I do what I do.

Getting Ready in the Lodges

The morning felt calm but buzzing with excitement. Sam, one of the happiest brides I’ve photographed, was surrounded by her closest friends and family — everyone relaxed and enjoying the sunshine outside their lodge. Natural light poured across the Yorkshire landscape, giving me plenty of lovely unposed moments to quietly capture.

As the ceremony time approached, Sam took a peaceful woodland walk through the trees — a beautifully simple, grounding moment before the celebrations. It’s these real, personal touches that make each wedding unique, and a joy to photograph.

A Joyful Ceremony at The KP Club

The ceremony began with a stylish line-up — the groom and his groomsmen looking casually sharp in black suits and cream rose buttonholes, ready to welcome guests with big smiles.

Inside, the ceremony space was filled with natural light and even more warmth. There was laughter, a few happy tears, and so much pride beaming from the groom as Sam walked in. It was one of those genuine moments where everything just clicked — a Yorkshire setting, a lovely couple, and a room full of heart.

Sealed with a kiss, their ceremony was joyful, relaxed, and full of personality — just like the two of them.

Signing, Confetti & Happy Faces

After the ceremony, a sweet moment unfolded as their son joined Sam and Tim at the signing table — a perfect family touch that made the day even more special. I caught Sam’s tender hug with her father, a genuine moment full of love.

Then came the confetti exit — bursts of laughter, smiles, and playful fun as friends and family showered the newlyweds with good wishes. The couple’s personalities really shone through as they greeted their guests with warm hellos and joyful hugs, making this Yorkshire wedding feel like one big happy celebration.

The wedding breakfast was set up beautifully, and I quickly captured a few details — from the elegant table decor to guests happily chatting and enjoying the moment. The couple’s entrance brought cheers and smiles, especially from the bride, lighting up the room.

Tim’s special drinks cup and cigar added a fun, personal touch that made for some memorable photos. I love catching those playful interactions between the couple, their families, and guests — moments full of laughter and warmth.

Cutting the delicious chocolate cheesecake was a highlight, with plenty of fun snaps as they enjoyed their cake together. With guests so relaxed and friendly, I was able to capture all the genuine smiles and joy that made this Yorkshire wedding truly unforgettable.

Laughter-Filled Speeches

The speeches were full of heart and humour. Sam beamed with pride during her dad’s speech and kept smiling right through Tim’s touching words. Thoughtful gifts were handed out to friends and family with warm, grateful smiles — a lovely gesture that added even more meaning to the day.

And of course, the best men brought the laughs (and a little embarrassment!) with their stories. I love moments like these — real, unscripted memories that make every wedding so unique. There was even a light-hearted “speech length” competition, which kept the mood fun and lively.

After the final toast, guests were able to relax and enjoy the evening. I took the chance to capture some natural portraits and playful, personality-filled posed shots — full of laughter and Yorkshire warmth.

First Dance & a Surprise Breakdance Show!

The first dance began with Sam’s beaming smile and the sweetest connection between the two of them. But she had a surprise up her sleeve… Moments later, Sam grabbed the mic and stunned everyone — especially Tim — with a jaw-dropping breakdance performance! Sparks literally flew as a circular saw and metal rod lit up the floor, adding an electrifying twist to the evening.

It was a brilliant, high-energy moment that no one expected — the perfect end to a joyful Yorkshire wedding packed with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
