Chloe & John’s Joyful Huddersfield Wedding – Church, Papakata Tent & Golden Fields
Chloe and John’s July wedding was bursting with joy, laughter, and beautiful moments. Their ceremony at St Paul’s Church in Huddersfield was warm and full of love, followed by a fun-filled, lively reception under papakata tents in the family’s field on Beaumont Park Road.
As a Leeds and Yorkshire wedding photographer, I loved capturing every colourful smile, every happy tear, and all the little details that made their day truly special.

St John’s Church and Beautiful Moments Before the Ceremony
The light and shadows at St John’s Church were stunning, setting a perfect scene for Chloe and John’s wedding day. I then headed to the house where the petite bride wore a gorgeous floral crown — delicate, natural, and full of summer charm. The bridesmaids looked lovely in their soft pink and blue dresses, captured both inside and out in the garden. The bright sun made every colour pop, pure and unedited.
Chloe’s summer bouquet arrived, tied with a striking purple stem ribbon that added a special touch. Before the ceremony, I caught one last heartfelt photo of the bride and her father, just before I headed to meet the groom and his best men. Inside the church, they sat together, waiting and smiling as the moment approached.

Light, Laughter, and Love at the Church Ceremony
The church ceremony was light, airy, and full of smiles. Chloe and her father began the entrance, with the bridesmaids following closely behind—not to hide the bride, but to support her. Everyone sang along and smiled warmly at the vicar’s words. As Chloe signed the register, the groom gave a wide, happy smile to the camera. There was a touching moment with the couple and their mums before returning to the ceremony space for a blessing at the pulpit.
With pride shining bright, Chloe and John exited the church to a joyful confetti shower from their loved ones. They paused for a kiss, surrounded by smiles, and posed for classic couple shots by the church—one tender moment with John lifting Chloe for a beautiful shot. Before leaving, we captured one last image by a little stream, wrapping up the church part of their day. Next, it was a short five-minute journey to the house and family field for the celebration.

Fun and Laughter Under the Papakata Tents
Sweeping fields, dramatic skies, and wonderful people made photographing Chloe and John’s reception both simple and joyful. The couple had set up a selfie photo frame that everyone loved — complete with fun moustaches, glasses, and props that brought out the smiles. The stunning Papakata tents created the perfect setting for their celebration. Their real cheese wedding cake, tinted soft pink in the gentle light, was a delicious highlight. Sweet jars for the adults added a playful touch that everyone enjoyed.
The speeches were fantastic, with everyone gathered in a circle inside the tent. I captured a mix of unedited black-and-white and vibrant colour photos. The best men’s speeches were full of fun, and I caught all the genuine reactions from guests thanks to the close, relaxed seating.

Joyful Moments and Fun in the Field
Back in the field, guests happily took more photos with the selfie frame and fun props — including bunny ears! Inside the tent, I captured all the lovely little details the couple had thoughtfully arranged. They truly thought of everything, even bringing along an ice cream van for guests to enjoy. One sweet moment was Chloe passing John a classic 99 Flake, framed perfectly against the scenic backdrop.
The day took a playful turn with skeet shooting — a unique photo opportunity featuring the bride and her father with electronic rifles. Then came the much-anticipated cutting and tasting of their real cheese cake. The first dance was full of smiles, followed by a lively ceilidh. As evening settled, everyone relaxed further, enjoying games outside and dancing inside under the soft fading light.

Chloe and John’s day was full of love, laughter, and fun moments — a perfect celebration in beautiful Huddersfield. I loved being there to capture every smile and special detail that made their wedding truly theirs.
